Solution Overview
In 2007 AIVEBS started a project with the goal of the
construction of a modular extension of Dynamics AX to fit the needs
of the Consumer Goods industry in the area of Sales, Commercial
Policies and Commissions.
The geographical focus is South Europe, where the business model
of the CPG manufacturers and the relation model with the retailers
is quite complex, which implies that other and simpler country
requirements are covered.
The key features addressed by the project
are:
- Description of the marketplace and customer structure
- Commercial Business Unit managment
- Commercial policies.
- Commissions to sales rep and agents.
The above issues apply to the overall CG marketplace,
selling through different channels, including food and beverage as
well as durable goods.

- Define and manage "commercial business
units" or commercial division
- Define and manage the organizational structure of
the large-scale retail trade customers as a tree
structure
- Define and manage Commercial Contract which may include:
- Price list for specific items
- Discount policies (any crazy combination) to be applied within
the invoice
- Premium policies (special premiums to generate end-of-year
extra discounts, normally one or more invoices done by the
customer). Also named Out-of-invoice conditions.
- Sell-in and sell-out campaigns on a planned basis
- Set of items defined within the contract with the customer
(Assortimento) including combinations of mandatory items.
- Miscellaneous charges
- Define, manage and track the calculation and the payment
process of sales commissions, both for employees and external
agents.
